GSMA Intelligence has introduced the 5G Connectivity Index intending to promote expanded coverage, adoption, and utilization of 5G mobile networks. This index evaluates the progress of 39 countries in achieving essential goals related to 5G infrastructure and services. By offering a data-driven framework, the index facilitates informed decision-making, fosters cross-country comparisons, and advocates for widespread access to 5G connectivity.

The top ten ranked countries in the 5G Connectivity Index are:
- Kuwait
- United Arab Emirates
- Norway
- Finland
- Qatar
- Denmark
- Hong Kong SAR, China
- Korea, South
- Mainland China
- United States of America
5G Connectivity Index is highly correlated with 5G Infrastructure, 5G Services, Networks, Affordability, Adoption, and Experience, while it is very low correlated with Spectrum and Market Development.
Affordability is highly correlated with Adoption, 5G Coverage, and 5G Device shipments. And negative correlation with Revenue growth.
